Do I have to attend Orientation?
Orientation is MANDATORY for all new freshman students. Orientation is strongly recommended for transfer students.
When should I return the reservation form?
All payments and reservation forms must be received 10 business days prior to your Orientation date. Reservations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. In order to experience a smooth transition and to process all documentation prior to attending Orientation, please return the reservation/fee analysis form to the Cashier’s Office.
Will I receive a confirmation of my reservation?
Yes. After your fee payment and reservation form is processed, you will receive a letter confirming your Orientation date, parking information, a campus map and a parking permit for the day.
How much does it cost to attend Orientation?
The Orientation program is $60.00 (non-refundable).
Will Financial Aid cover my Orientation fee or ID card?
No. Financial Aid does not cover the Orientation fee or the Golden Eagle One card. If you have any questions regarding your Financial Aid award, please contact the Center for Student Financial Aid at (323) 343-6260.
Will a meal be provided?
A light continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.
May I bring a guest?
No. Orientation is designed for students only and space is limited. However, if you have special needs and must be accompanied for assistance, please call the University Orientation Program at (323) 343-3195.
How will I know what classes are available?
After academic advisement, an open class list will be available for your use.
If I want to become a teacher, to whom should I speak?
Sign up for the Orientation session that includes the Charter College of Education.
How long is Orientation?

| ● | Check-in will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. (late arrivals will not be admitted). |
