E-Mentor Project

The E-Mentor Project is a school-based, online mentoring and academic support project. Through the establishment of a partnership with Ann Street Elementary School, IBM, and California State University, Los Angeles (CSULA), the E-Mentor Project aims to provide support to the children of Ann Street Elementary School.

The objective of this program is to expose elementary school students in urban areas to the world of technology, as well as the college experience, by pairing them with what is called an E-mentor. An E-mentor is either a CSULA student or an IBM employee whose objective is to mentor the children by responding to them at least once a week electronically through IBM’s Mentor Place website.
