Salazar Hall

Salazar Hall is named for the late Los Angeles Times writer Ruben Salazar who wrote extensively about the Chicano community in East L.A. Salazar gave a voice to the community up until he was tragically killed during civic unrest.

Today, the building houses classes and departments in a wide-range of disciplines. Among the most popular subjects studied here are finance, math, marketing, nursing and social work. A simulated nursing lab, computer lab, and the Applied Gerontology Institute, for students interested in working with the elderly, also serve students on the south side of campus.
