U.S. Senate candidates face off in debate at Cal State LA

WHAT: 

California Attorney General Kamala Harris and Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez will meet in the only scheduled debate in the race for California’s U.S. Senate seat. The debate is sponsored by the Pat Brown Institute for Public Affairs at Cal State LA, KABC-7 TV and the League of Women Voters of California Education Fund.

Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016, 7 p.m. - 8 p.m.

The live broadcast will air on KABC, and will be live streamed on Cal State LA’s website. Candidates will be questioned by a KABC-7 TV moderator and a three-person panel representing the sponsoring organizations. An overflow room will be open to the public in the Golden Eagle Ballroom.

Journalists must check in at the media table outside the theatre, and they will be escorted to a reserved section inside. Television news cameras and photographers will be allowed to capture footage and take photos inside. No flash photography will be allowed.
