Cal State L.A.’s Day of the Educator to recognize outstanding student teachers

WHAT:   The Charter College of Education (CCOE) and CalState TEACH-Los Angeles Regional Center at California State University, Los Angeles will host the annual Day of the Educator, in celebration of National Teacher Day. This is also one of several events to mark the investiture of William A. Covino as Cal State L.A.’s seventh president.

WHEN:   Thursday, May 8, 2014. Reception begins at 4:30 p.m., followed by the program from 5-7 p.m.

WHERE:  Golden Eagle Ballroom at Cal State L.A. Permit parking is available at Lots 5 and 7, and Parking Structure C.

MORE:    During the event, Cal State L.A. will present special recognitions to students who completed their credential programs during Spring Quarter 2013 through Winter Quarter 2014. Other honorees will include those recommended for Friends of the CCOE Scholarships for 2013, as well as selected as Outstanding Fieldwork Site Supervisors, Outstanding School Partners and Outstanding Parent Advocates. President Covino and CCOE Dean Eunsook Hyun will be among the speakers during the program.

This event is made possible through the Cal State L.A. Teacher Diversity Partnership Grant and the Friends of the Charter College of Education.
