WOMEN'S CHORUS PERFORMS FALL CONCERT AT CAL STATE L.A.

What & Who:
The Women's Chorus of Cal State L.A. and the San Gabriel Valley presents a fall concert, featuring the Pearl Chorus, a group of 60 women from West Los Angeles. The Pearl Chorus is part of Soka Gakkai International-USA. Directed by William Wells Belan, CSLA professor of Music, and assistant Leslie Clutterham.

When:
Tuesday, December 3, 1996, 8 p.m.

Where:
Cal State L.A. State Playhouse. The University is located at the Eastern Avenue exit, San Bernardino (I-10) Freeway, at the interchange of 10 and 710 Freeways.

The performance includes the following variety of treble literature:
Festive Procession by Emily Crocker; Da Pacem Domine by Melchior Franck; D Music by Lowell Mason; D'où viens-tu, bergère?, a traditional French carol; White Christmas by Irving Berlin; and Reel á bouche (French-Canadian) and Somewhere Over The Rainbow, arranged by William Wells Belan.

The Women's Chorus of Cal State L.A. and San Gabriel Valley is composed of women from the CSLA campus as well as from the community at large. It is sponsored by the CSLA Choral Studies and Women's Resource Center.
