Los Angeles, April 16, 1996 -- California State University, Los Angeles will host an exhibition of works created by the talented undergraduate students of Cal State L.A. from May 6 - 16, 1996 at the Fine Arts Gallery. The juried show includes works from the fine and applied arts, including computer art and design, painting, drawing, sculpture, video, printmaking, ceramics, jewelry and fashion. The artists' reception will be held Wednesday, May 8, from 4 to 7 p.m.
Judging the works is well-known artist and poet Mac McLain, emeritus professor of art and former chair of the Art Department at Cal State L.A. McLain has exhibited his own work internationally and his work is included in many prominent collections.
The CSLA Fine Arts Gallery is located on the first floor of the Fine Arts Building. The University is located 10 minutes from downtown Los Angeles at the Eastern Avenue exit of the San Bernardino (I-10) Freeway, at the interchange of the 10 and 710 Freeways.
