High schoolers at Huntington Park College-Ready Academy to get on the ‘Road to College’ bus May 11

Cal State L.A. joins CSU, AT&T in
reaching out to prospective students

WHO:           As part of the California State University/AT&T Road to College Bus Tour, Cal State L.A. ambassadors will be on hand Tuesday, May 11, to get Huntington Park College-Ready Academy High School students on board, navigating their paths to college. A representative of State Senator Ron Calderon will also be in attendance.

WHAT:         The CSU and AT&T are once again taking to the road with the message of academic preparation, access for underserved students, and the need for future workforce professionals in California.

                   Hundreds of students in our community will have a chance to board the 40-foot high-impact “wired” bus wrapped with the “Road to College: Get on Board” theme, and complete with laptop computers with career exploration, academic preparation and financial aid planning information.

                   This year’s tour is made possible by $500,000 in funding provided by AT&T. For more details, go to www.calstate.edu/roadtocollege.
