Roybal Institute for Applied Gerontology Coordinates
a Conference on Research & Training Programs at Cal State L.A.

The Edward R. Roybal Institute for Applied Gerontology at California State University, Los Angeles presents "Opportunities in Aging," a conference on research and training programs for investigators and students. The conference speakers will be Dr. Robin Barr, Deputy Associate Director, Extramural Programs, National Institute on Aging (NIA), and Dr. Stanley Slater, Health Science Administrator, NIA.

Roybal Institute, on the CSLA campus. The University is located at the Eastern Avenue exit, San Bernardino (I-10) Fwy., at the interchange of the 10 and 710 Fwys.
Representatives of the National Institute on Aging, part of the National Institutes of Health, will be conducting a presentation on grant opportunities in research and training available in the field of aging. They will focus on recent initiatives that are designed to attract investigators who are new to aging research and to attract researchers from ethnic groups that are underrepresented in biomedical and behavioral research.
