Nursing Accreditation Visit
at Cal State L.A.
What & Who:
The Nursing Department at California State University, Los Angeles has scheduled an accreditation visit from the National League of Nursing (NLN). The NLN representatives will visit students and faculty in the various on-campus and off-campus clinical sites. There will be opportunity for dialogue with students, faculty, clinical agency, and university representatives and the public.
November 2-5, 1999.

The NLN representatives to visit Cal State L.A. are Dr. Tina DeLapp (lead visitor, University of Arkansas), Dr. Kaye Herth (Mankato State University), and Dr. Carol Smith (Pennsylvania State University).
The National League for Nursing advances quality nursing education that prepares the nursing workforce to meet the needs of diverse populations in an ever-changing health care environment. The National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) is the entity within the NLN that is responsible for the accreditation of nursing education schools and programs. The NLNAC governing body is composed of articulate leaders representing nursing education, nursing service administration, and the public. The Commission has the sole authority and accountability for carrying out the responsibilities inherent in the accreditation process.
