INCLUDES WORLD PREMIERE

What & Who:
The Music Department at California State University, Los Angeles presents a Master of Music Conducting Recital featuring Hannah Park, conductor.

When:
Saturday, October 5, 1996, 8 p.m.

Where:
Cal State L.A. State Playhouse. The University is located at the Eastern Avenue exit, San Bernardino (I-10) freeway, at the interchange of the 10 and 710 freeways.

Performance for the evening will include the overture from Mozart's Marriage of Figaro; Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E minor, Op. 64; the world premiere of Ochlokratia by Philip Mantione; and Beethoven's Symphony no. 5 in C minor, Op. 67.

Hannah Park, an Eagle Park resident, received her bachelor's degree in Music at CSLA with emphasis on piano performance. She is also an accomplished violinist -- she is a violinist with CSLA's Symphony Orchestra -- as well as a skilled accompanist and conductor. She is a multiple scholarship recipient, and has been honored for two years in a row as CSLA's "Outstanding Graduate Music Student." Park says her goal is "to make a positive impact in the field of music as an Asian-American woman conductor."
