Dear Cal State L.A. community:
Last week’s devastating earthquake in Haiti tragically revealed how fragile a society can be in the face of utterly destructive seismic forces. Yet, the worldwide response to provide relief has illustrated just how global, intricate, multihued and strongly woven the tapestry of humanity has become in the 21st Century.
Clearly, immense challenges lay ahead for Haiti. As a resource for those who may be motivated to support relief and recovery efforts, a list of reputable charitable organizations engaged in those efforts is provided below. (Please note that this list is not exhaustive; and there may be many other equally reputable organizations, as well.)
