Receives a First Annual Youth Legacy Award
What & Who:
The Gang Violence Bridging Project (GVBP) of the
Edmund G. "Pat" Brown Institute of Public Affairs at
California State University, Los Angeles will receive a First
Annual Youth Legacy Award at a luncheon organized by the Youth
Empowerment Project. The GVBP will be recognized for its hard
work and effort in reducing gang violence in the Greater Los Angeles
Metropolitan area and for initiating educational programs that
assist former gang members and at-risk youths.

"USC Town and Gown," on the University of Southern
California campus. USC is located at University Park, Los Angeles.
The Youth Empowerment Project is a community partnership of the
Southern Christian Leadership Conference/Martin Luther King Legacy
Association and the Coalition of Neighborhood Developers.
The Pat Brown Institute Gang Violence Bridging Project is funded
by the Hilton Foundation, Arco Foundation, United States Department
of Education and Joseph Drown Foundation.
