‘Spectrum Exposed’ at CSULA Senior
Featuring final collections of 14 graduating fashion design students
Los Angeles, CA –
Strutting out their sheek and stylish designs, Cal State L.A.’s
“Spectrum Exposed” will showcase fashion wear created by graduating
students in the University’s
Fashion and Textiles Program.
The CSULA Senior Fashion Show will take place Monday,
June 11, on CSULA’s King Hall Walkway at 4:30 p.m. and
6:30 p.m.
“The title of this year’s show was inspired by the broad variety of
collections being presented—from travel wear produced in linen and silk,
to up-cycled appliquéd leggings, hoods and crop tops—you are bound to
see something you will love,” said CSULA Professor Carole Frances Lung.
To be displayed on the runway are works by student designers Carmen
Rodriguez, Nicci Moore, Daphne Mangin, Leigh Ann Linehan, Frieda Hor,
Nicole King, Begonia Kroeger, Priscilla Gaeta, Nicole Samson, Edith
Garcia, Stephanie Luong, Miki Cameringo, Alexzandra Granath, and
Maricruz Regoza.
Additionally, the fashion show is produced with the assistance of
graduating fashion merchandising students: Aslia Uribe, Belsy Saguero,
Letty Miranda, Luann Ottinger, Lulu Zhang, Lyndi Hijirida, Sara Hatami
and Teresa Hernandez.
The show, free to the public, is presented simultaneously with the
Senior Projects in Studio Art, Design, and Fashion and Textiles
Exhibition and Reception in the Fine Art Gallery of CSULA’s Fine Art
Building.
Launched in 1991, the annual show prepares art students specializing in
fashion design, fashion merchandising or textiles for the fashion
industry. After graduation, many work in the apparel and textiles
industry as assistant designers, retail managers, and sales
representatives.
This event is made possible with support by CSULA’s Department of Art,
CSULA’s Department of Music, Theatre and Dance, and Fashion Supplies
Inc.
