The Theatre Arts and Dance Department at California State University,
Los Angeles and the Teatro Universitario en Espanol present The Last Days
of Don Juan (The Trickster of Seville), a co-production
by Tirso de Molina. This new look at the age-old story
of the world's greatest lover facing his final liaison is adapted
by Nick Dear and directed by Theresa Larkin. Presented in cooperation
with C.A.S.T. and the Consulate General of Spain at Los Angeles.
Spanish performances: Friday, February 23-Sunday, February
English performances: Friday, March 1-Sunday,
March 3, 1996.
Show time: Fridays & Saturdays, 8 p.m. and Sundays, 2:30 p.m.
Cal State L.A. State Playhouse. The University is located
at the Eastern Avenue exit, San Bernardino (I-10) Freeway, at
the interchange of the 10 and 710 Freeways.
$8 general admission, $5 students and senior citizens. Substantial

A related bilingual symposium entitled, "New Insights into
the Character of Don Juan," will be held on Friday, February
23, from 2:30 to 6 p.m., at CSLA University-Student Union, Los
Angeles Room. Following the symposium, which includes a performance
by the troupe Crisol-Bufones, will be a 6:30 p.m. reception.
