Martin Epstein

Dr. Epstein is the author of more than 50 publications about nuclear
physics and medical physics. He is an expert in experimental
medium energy nuclear physics, specializing in problems involving
light nuclei. He has been co-principal director of a National
Science Foundation grant since 1977. With Dr. William Taylor, he helped to establish Cal State L.A.'s first University Preparatory Program with Lincoln and Garfield High Schools, which now serves as a model program throughout Southern California.

nuclear physics few-nucleon problems. He is a co-principal
investigator for a National Science Foundation grant to research
electron scattering on light nuclei. Dr. Margaziotis was a recipient
of the 1976-77 Cal State L.A. Outstanding Professor Award, and the 2000-
2001 President's Distinguished Professor Award.
