University Development

Advancing in the New Millennium

Committed to Academic Excellence

Cal State L.A.'s reputation as a center of learning attracts students from all areas of the United States and other countries. Our University has proudly played a role in the educational achievements and career endeavors of more than 150,000 alumni.  University Development is dedicated to sustaining and fostering positive relationships with our alumni and friends.

As we continue to grow in the 21st Century, the support of our alumni and friends becomes increasingly important. Because we are a state-assisted university, private support is vital in providing our gifted faculty and diverse student community with the highest quality teaching and learning environment.

Whether through an Annual Fund cash gift, scholarship contribution, or planned giving option, every dollar received directly touches the lives of our students. Our progress depends on the generosity of those who recognize that a gift of education allows our students to thrive and enriches us all.

Many of our students are realizing that at this University, being involved with the many cultures, ages, interests and disciplines on our campus is a special gift.  It offers an academic dimension that opens students’ eyes and understanding toward the whole world. The opportunity to learn together, at Cal State L.A., is vital in helping us learn to work together in the world.

The world of the University is a world of ideas, intellect, discovery, debate, growth and service.  You provide our students with admission to that world by providing the resources that make their participation possible. It is your philanthropic support that makes our students dreams come true through accomplishments.  Your generosity assists our faculty and students to obtain the finest educational experiences possible and for this, we are grateful.
