Information
It is the responsibility of all
drivers to know and understand the University parking rules and
regulations.
|

Parking
regulations are enforced 24 hours a day, 7 days a week,
including holidays. Please obey all posted signs and/or
curb markings. |

A
current valid CSULA parking permit must be displayed and
visible on the rear-view mirror of the vehicle or placed
face up on the driver’s side dash. Expired permits
and/or daily parking permits must be removed before
displaying a current permit. Note: Expiration
dates are printed on each permit and it must be visible. |

Long-term parking permits, including Residential
permits, may be purchased at the Parking &
Transportation Service Center (located south of Lot 3). Please Note: Daily parking
permits are only available for purchase through parking
dispensing machines located throughout campus parking
lots. |

There
is no parking grace period. Therefore, all permits go on
sale beginning the 10th week of each previous
quarter. To purchase a Student, Housing or
Motorcycle permit by credit card please go to
csulaparking.t2systems.com. Your permit will
arrive in 5-7 business days. Disabled permits must
be purchased in person at the Parking and Transportation
Service Center. Current
permits must be displayed on the first day of each
quarter. |

Quarterly and Annual permits are not valid in Parking
Structure C (top level). This
area is reserved and is restricted for daily parking
permit use only. |

Should
you forget your valid parking permit, you may purchase a
daily permit at any of the parking permit dispenser
machines conveniently located in Lots 1, 2, 5, 7, and
11, Parking Structure A (all levels), Parking Structure
B (C-Level) and Parking Structure C (top level). Daily permits must be displayed face-up on
the driver's side dash with the valid date/time shown.
Failure to display your permit correctly may be
plausible cause for citation. |

Vehicles parked in unauthorized parking areas/zones are
subject to citation and/or tow-away. |

Overnight parking for Resident guests is allowed only in
the Residential parking area Lot 7 with a valid parking
permit. Overnight parking for eligible commuters is
allowed with prior approval from Commuter
Services, (323) 343-5277 |
Student Parking is authorized with a
current permit in Lots 1, 2, 5, 7, and 11, Parking Structure A
(all levels), Parking Structure B (C-Level), and Parking
Structure C (Blue Level).
Additional student parking is available in Parking Structure B
(B-Level) and Lot 3 after 5:30 p.m.
Visitor/Daily Parking is available
with the use of a valid daily permit purchased from the permit
dispensers. Permits are sold at $0.50/ hour, $1.00 for 2 hours, $2.00 for 4½
hours, and $6.00 for an all day permit. Event parking fees are
$6.45 per day and can be arranged by calling the Parking Event
Coordinator at (323) 343-3704 (restrictions may apply).
Motorcycle or Moped Parking is
available with the purchase of a valid parking permit at the
Parking & Transportation Service Center. Designated parking
areas include Lot 6, Lot 10, and Parking Structure B (all
levels).
Bicycle Parking (permit or fee not
required): Bike racks are located on the south side of the
University Student Union (temporarily closed during renovation),
the southeast side of King Hall, the north and south side of
Library North, and on the north end of (Row 1), B-Level of
Parking Structure B.
Residential Parking is available to
Housing students. Students must purchase their permit at the
Parking & Transportation Service Center. Residential designated
parking is located within the fenced area of Lot 7A.
Disabled Parking
requires a valid DMV disabled placard in addition to a current
CSULA disabled parking permit (must bring current DMV disabled
placed registration when purchasing parking permit). To
register with the Office for Students with Disabilities call
(323) 343-3140 / (TDD) (323) 343-3139.
Parking Information
is available at the Welcome Center located on Paseo Rancho Castilla
and Campus Road; the Information Kiosk located at the west
entrance of the Administration Building; or, at the Parking &
Transportation Service Center located south of Lot 3.
Parking Citation Appeals
is administrative forms are available in the Public Safety Office.
Additional forms may be faxed or mailed to you by calling (323)
343-3700. Please note that citation fines must be paid within
21 days of issuance. Responses will be mailed to you within 10
business days from date of appeal. Parking citation payments
may be paid in person at the Parking & Transportation Service
Center, dropped inside the citation payment drop-box or via the
web @
www.PayMyCite.com.
Failure to pay a parking fine by the due date may result in
additional substantial penalties, a DMV hold on your vehicle
registration and holds on university registration and services.
Construction Zones: Access to parking areas and roadways
are subject to change. Please adhere to all posted signs
carefully.
