Notice - Non-ELP (English Language Program) Students, Click Here for signup information related specifically to general applicants.
The Basics
Bed spaces in our complex are limited and are assigned on a first come first serve basis and prioritized by the date that ALL of the items below have been received in the Housing Services office. When giving consideration for room assignments, a prospective student’s application file is considered to be either “COMPLETE” or “INCOMPLETE”. A student application file is considered Complete when the Housing Services office has received the following:
Housing Services ELP Online Application – Must be completed through the Housing Portal. The application is designed to gather general information about you and your living habits. The information about your living habits will assist us in matching you with a roommate. Although the Housing Services office makes no guarantees with respect to roommate compatibility, the office will attempt to match roommates based on the requested information.
Housing Services ELP License Agreement – Must be completed and signed. Please be sure to read the License Agreement for the period that you plan to live on campus housing. The License Agreement is a legally binding document that outlines the Terms and Conditions for living on campus. Your signature on the document, and the signature of a parent or legal guardian if required, indicates that you have read and understand these terms and conditions. Your signature also indicates that you have read and understand the terms outlined in the ELP Payment Schedule as well as the policies and procedures described in the Housing Services Student Guide. In order to be eligible to live on campus, an applicant must meet the following criteria:
- Currently be 18 years of age or will turn 18 years old during the quarter in which he or she shall be a resident.
- Enroll in the required number of academic units as outlined in theELP License Agreement.
Payment
The initial payment required to live on campus is indicated in the payment schedules below. The ELP Payment Schedule also includes the due dates and amounts of the required installment payments for the Winter and Spring 2013 quarters. The initial payment, which includes your first installment payment, is required before moving into the Housing Services complex. You may make your initial payment utilizing one of several methods. If you choose to pay by Money Order, Personal Check, or Cashiers Check, then simply include the payment when you submit the application materials detailed above. If you choose to pay in cash then you must stop by in person at the Housing Services office to pick up an Invoice and then proceed to the University Cashiers office to make your payment. You may also pay online (Master Card, AMEX, and Diner’s Club) at https://commerce.cashnet.com/csulapay. Once you make your payment online then include a copy of your receipt when you submit your application materials.
Your student application file will be considered COMPLETE on the date that all of the items listed above have been received in the Housing Services office. Completed application files are prioritized by the date received and assigned on a first come first serve basis. So, the earlier you submit your application materials and payment, the better your chances are of acquiring a space in our complex. Making a payment and/or submitting your application materials do not guarantee you a space in the Housing Services complex. Bed space in our complex is limited so it is possible that individuals with completed application files will be placed on a waiting list. Any student application file that is missing any of the items listed above will be considered Incomplete and your application will be pending until all outstanding items have been received.
