Resource Center
The Health Promotion and Education Center includes a resource center.
Brochures addressing a wide variety of health issues are available, at no cost, to students looking for health information. Students can also pick up a free health resource CD filled with helpful guides and Internet links.
The Center also has audio and visual aids that include videotapes and DVDs, overhead transparencies, display units, models, and posters. Many of these resources may be borrowed free of charge in support of University projects and/or personal needs.
Students interested in borrowing materials are strongly encouraged to reserve items of interest at the earliest possible date. Loan reservations are made and honored on a first-come, first-served basis. Students are responsible for replacement costs associated with the loss or damage of borrowed materials.
Students can also take advantage of the Center's computer station for University-related assignments and research. The computers have Internet access and many of the same features as those found in the campus Open Access Labs. Note: Students must supply their own paper for printing.
The Center also stocks free condoms (male and female, latex and polyurethane) and dams (latex and polyurethane) for sexually active students.
