Confidential Health Counseling
Health counseling sessions through the Health Promotion and Education Center are confidential, nonjudgmental, and client-centered interactions with the goal of helping students address their health needs. Sessions are conducted by the HPEC's health educators. Appointments are recommended (323-343-3302). Walk-ins are welcome.
Students are encouraged to seek information and assistance related to:
- Alcohol and other drug use
- Birth control and family planning
- Domestic and sexual violence
- HIV infection and AIDS
- Nutrition, fitness, and weight management
- Sexually transmitted infections
- Stress management
- And other health issues

Students with concerns beyond the scope of health education are referred to Student Health Center medical and mental health providers, or other appropriate professionals.
