California State University, Los Angeles has received a $100,000 grant from the Bernard Osher Foundation to establish an Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) in collaboration with the Edward R. Roybal Institute of Applied Gerontology. This grant is one of over 40 funded nationally to offer lifelong learning opportunities to persons age 50 and older. Professor Connie Corley directs the OLLI along with Professor Kim Miller.
OLLI is guided by a Board comprised of representatives of the Emeriti Association, the CSULA Alumni Association, and the Roybal Institute Board, along with the Division of Extended Education and a rich array of community partners. The program of activities will be devoted to creating a membership of adults who can learn together and become empowered through learning to remain vibrant in mind, body and spirit.
