The Cal SOAP program helps students and their parents by
providing them with the necessary information needed to achieve
admission into a four-year post-secondary education institution.
The program equally focuses its efforts in disseminating
information regarding Financial Aid opportunities and Default
Prevention to its participants. The following is a summary
of the services provided at each of the 3 education levels the
program services.
Middle School level services include but are not limited to: Tutoring,
academic advisement, parent college planning workshops, financial aid
awareness workshops, PSAT preparation workshops, campus tours and
after school reading programs.
High School Services: academic advisement, student mentorship, campus
tours, SAT and ACT preparation workshops, parent college planning
meeting, financial aid and default prevention workshops, college application workshops, FAFSA
and Cal Grant application workshops, scholarship search assistance,
student academic progress follow-up.
Community college services: academic advisement, financial aid
information via workshops or one on one session, transfer process
information to CSU, UC and Private colleges, campus tours to transfer
conferences and senior summer bridge program.
