Honors Convocation

Dean's List honorees, Special Recognition in Graduate Studies, recipients of scholarships, grants, honors societies
and honors college participants will be honored at the program. In addition, new freshmen will be recognized for
having entered the University with a 3.5 GPA or higher on their high school records.
Convocation Speaker: Alejandro (Alex) Briseño, assistant professor, Department of Polymer Science and Engineering, University of Massachusetts Amherst; recipient of the 2012 Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers.
GRAD FAIR 2013
Wednesday, April 17, and Thursday, April 18, 10 A.M.–7 P.M.,
at Eagles Nest Gymnasium
For the 18th year in a row, GRAD FAIR, provides graduating senior and master students a "one-stop
shopping" venue to fulfill all their graduation needs. Students can get their GRAD PACK, pick-up their
commencement tickets, purchase their cap and gown, record their video shout-outs, take their yearbook pictures,

Undergraduate and Graduate Commencement
The Commencement 2013 Ceremonies of California State University, Los Angeles will be held at the University Athletic Stadium on the following dates and times.
Friday, June 14, 2013 at 5:00 P.M.
For the Charter College of Education,
College of Engineering, Computer Science, and Technology, and the
College of Health and Human Services.
Commencement Speaker: Terrence James Roberts, one of the Little Rock Nine, a group of African-American
students who, in 1957, were the first black students ever to attend classes at Little Rock Central High School
in Little Rock, Arkansas. In 1999, he and the other people of the Little Rock Nine were awarded the Congressional
Gold Medal by President Bill Clinton.
