SPANISH LANGUAGE BODAS DE SANGRE,
BY FEDERICO GARCIA LORCA

What & Who:
California State University, Los Angeles presents a bilingual production by Bodas de sangre (Blood Wedding), a drama by Spanish playwright and poet Federico GarcÃa Lorca, and directed by the award-winning Alejandra Flores. Lorca's play is a love tragedy and a poetic meditation on social violence. Although set in the Spanish countryside, Lorca's drama reaches universal proportions in its illumination of the passionate and, often times, self-destructive side of human nature.
Thursday, April 8-Sunday, April 11, 1999. (Performances will be in Spanish.)
Show time: April 8-10, 8 p.m., and April 10-11, matinée at 2:30 p.m.
