"The Global Impact of the Russian Revolution" is a part of a series of panels exploring the Russion Revolution of 1917 and its impact on global social justice. Speakers will include Cal State LA history professor Eileen Ford, history and Latin American Studies professor Enrique C. Ochoa, sociology professor Wai Kit Choi and history professor Afshin Matin-Asgari. The series, sponsored by the Departments of History, Sociology and Latin American Studies, is being presented in conjunction with the "Revolutionizing the World?" exhibition being shown this month in the Fine Arts Gallery.

Often times, queer and trans people are taught that to be taken seriously means having to act “normal.” This event will host a rotating table discussion with professionals giving their input on being part of the LGBTQ+ community and navigating professional world of job searching, interviewing, and office politics.
