Common Financial System (CFS)
The Common Financial System is a Chancellor's Office project that consolidates the PeopleSoft financial systems of 22 CSU campuses and the Chancellor’s Office to standardize financial business processes across the campuses to simplify and reduce the costs of system implementations and maintenance.
CSULA is converting from the PeopleSoft financial application to the CFS in July 2011. Online purchase requisitions should be entered into the new CFS beginning July 5th, 2011. The fiscal year 2010-2011 will be closed in the current system. Balances will then be transferred to CFS after the closing is completed in mid July.
Changes
- Access to CFS is through the CSU Portal. Go to the portal logon instructions for assistance.
- A Data Warehouse is used for reporting. Training will be set up with users who will be using the reporting functions in late July and August.
- The CSULA business unit names are changing. CSULA is now LACMP in CFS. Go to the New Business Unit Names page for a list of unit changes.
