Appointments
Academic advising is an educational process that, by intention and design, facilitates students’ understanding of the meaning and purpose of higher education and fosters their intellectual and personal development toward academic success and lifelong learning (NACADA, 2004). Both the student and the advisor have clear responsibilities for ensuring the advising partnership is successful. The UAAC syllabus outlines/identifies those responsibilities. Students are to review the syllabus online (http://www.calstatela.edu/univ/advise/uaacsyllabus.php) prior to their advisement meeting. The syllabus is also available for review in the UAAC.
The UAAC operates on a half-hour appointment basis with walk-ins subject to availability. Please call (323) 343-3150 to schedule an appointment with an advisor.
