Transfer Credit, GE Certification, and Transcripts
Definition: An AGREEMENT exists between the California community colleges and the CSU that CSLA will grant up to 60 quarter units of transfer credits for course work taken at a community college, if the community college certifies on the transcript that the course work is equivalent to CSU G.E. requirements. Certification can be full (which grants up to 60 quarter units of lower division G.E. blocks) or partial (completion of part of the G.E. requirements within specified G.E. Block(s), e.g., credit for all of the Basic Subjects requirements and/or all of the Social Science requirements but not for the entire G.E. lower division program).
