Admission Requirements for Transfer Students

Upper Division Transfer Students
60 or more Semester units (90 or more Quarter units)
Lower Division Transfer Students
Less Than 60 Semester units (90 Quarter units)

 

 

Upper Division Transfer Student

If you have earned or will earn 60 Semester/90 Quarter transferable units or more prior to the quarter you are applying to

 

Grade Point Average (GPA)

 

 

Minimum 2.00 if a resident of CA

 

 

Minimum 2.40 if a nonresident of CA

 

 

 

 

Four Basic Subjects

 

 

Completion of the CSU GE Requirements in English, Speech, Critical Thinking and Mathematics. (A grade of C or better is required in each course.)

 

Note: Student must be in good standing at the last institution attended.

 

 

Lower Division Transfer Student

If you have earned or will earn LESS THAN 60 Semester/90 Quarter transferable units prior to the quarter you are applying to

 

College Grade Point Average (GPA)

 

 

2.00+ in all transferable units and in good standing at the last institution attended

 

High School Eligibility

 

EI (Eligibility Index)

 

 

2900 (SAT) or 694 (ACT)

 

 

CA Resident or a graduate of a CA high school

 

 

 

 

 

3402 (SAT) or 842 (ACT)

 

 

Non-Resident of CA and not a graduate of a CA HS

 

College Preparatory Courses

 

 

Must meet the minimum requirement in ALL AREAS

 

 

Note: Missing HS Subject Requirement CAN be made up with appropriate college courses.
