CHILDREN'S CENTER TEACHERS
Our program is staffed with experienced early childhood teachers who appreciate the uniqueness of young children. All of our full time teachers have earned a B.A. degree in Child Development and a Children's Center Master Teacher Permit granted by the State of California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
Assistant teachers are comprised of Cal State L.A. students who are majoring in child development. Student assistants have varying backgrounds; some are near completion of their degree program in child development and some have just begun their academic careers. The one factor all student assistants have in common is their desire to work with children and grow in their understanding of child development.
Our staff training is ongoing and responsive to innovative educational philosophies in early childhood education.
Our teacher/child ratio is 1:7. In addition to our professional staff student interns are placed in each classroom who are completing their education in Child Development. These students add to the quality of our program as well as further lowering our teacher/child ratios.
