Why are Identity Standards Needed?
The Office of Public Affairs serves the University through the development and implementation of strategic communications with various Cal State L.A. audiences, internal and external to the University.
Cal State L.A.’s identifying elements—including the University seal and logotype, specific type styles, colors, and formats—form the basis for a consistent visual image.
Key identifying symbols include:
- the official seal
- the logotype
The University’s identification is also represented through:
- overall presentation
- the use of color
- publications/web presence
- approaches that support a professional and unified approach
- message content
