The goal of the Health Promotion and Education Center is to assist students in achieving and maintaining health goals through health promotion and education services that promote health enhancing attitudes, skills, and behaviors.
Health Promotion and Education Center staff offer services and resources that relate to: alcohol and other drugs, contraception and family planning, dating and domestic violence, health services, healthy relationships, nutrition and fitness, self-care, sexual health, sexually transmitted infections, sexual violence and misconduct, sleep, stalking, stress management, and other health issues.
Services are offered at no additional cost beyond the student health services fee with the exception of CPR training. Students are encouraged to walk in. Certain services, such as CPR training and family planning counseling are available by appointment.
The Health Promotion and Education Center also:
- Conducts guest lectures
- Collaborates with campus stakeholders on health promotion and education programming
