Expected Graduation: May 2020

I am an international student currently in the M.S. Information Systems program. I graduated from Anna University, India with a Bachelor of Technology degree in Information Technology. The journey as an international student fine-tuned my skills and attitude through cultural diversity. My academic experience persuaded me to help students find success in their academics.  I am very proud of my mom who made me realize that success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do.

Hi my name is Ios and I am a first-generation Latina college student currently in the M.A. in Education (Option in Educational Foundations) program. Prior to CSULA, I graduated from CSU Dominguez Hills with a B.A. in Sociology and a Minor in Women Studies. In the future, I hope to support students in higher education find success in their academic journey and eventually enact policy change to address the needs of first-generation, low-income, and students of color. When I feel overwhelmed, watching movies with my family and spending time with my two dogs helps me unwind.
