Ujima African American Youth Conference

We invite all African American students from high schools and community colleges to participate in our first annual Ujima African American Youth Conference. Cal State LA’s Admissions and Recruitment Office is proud to host this free educational event to increase the preparation, participation, retention and graduation of African American students.

The conference will include various workshops dedicated to educating, empowering, and enlightening youth to become critical thinkers, responsible citizens, and to embrace their history, traditions, and culture. The day will also include a Cal State Apply application workshop for those who are ready to apply to Cal State LA for the Fall 2018 term. Light breakfast and lunch will be provided.
