Mission Statement

The mission of the CSULA Foundation is to advance the educational, cultural, scholarly, and creative activities and the role of community service of California State University, Los Angeles, by increasing private funding, responsibly managing donated resources and supporting the University and its diverse and distinct nature.

Value Statement

In pursuit of its mission and the decisions it makes, the board will be guided by the following values in the discharge of its work:

  • Integrity and fiscal responsibility
  • Accuracy and transparency
  • Respect for donors, their privacy and their stated intentions
  • Inclusiveness
  • Ethical decision-making
  • Accountability to donors and the university community


Furthermore, the board embraces a diversity of opinions and perspectives, believes strongly in the accessibility of higher education, and takes serious their responsibility for recognizing donors and their contributions to advance the work and mission of the University.
