The Transportation Services Office provides faculty, staff and students with an extensive Rideshare Program. The following programs are available to assist you in your commute to Cal State LA.

Cal State LA has 19 ChargePoint Stations Throughout Campus

California State University LA works with ChargePoint to provide charging station to the campus community.  We understand that Electric Vehicles (EV) can promote a means to greatly reduce and/or eliminate pollution. The following information is provided to ensure that the charging stations are used to their full potential and are available to all EV drivers.

 

How much does it cost to charge me electric vehicle?

Currently there is no cost to use one of our ChargePoint stations.   Users only need to sign-up for an account with Chargepoint.  ChargePoint is the world’s largest and most open electric vehicle (EV) charging network.  Faculty and Staff can obtain a ChargePoint access card from the Commuter Services Office.  Please call (323) 343-5277 for more details.

Is a Cal State LA Parking Permit required when using a charging station?

a valid parking permit must be properly displayed when charging a vehicle (i.e., Student, Daily, Resident, Faculty, Staff, Visitor, etc.).   Parking is enforced on campus 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. 

Daily parking permits are $4 for 4 hours 4-hour period.  Permit dispensers are available in all student lots.

Is there a time limit for using a charging station Is a Cal State LA Parking Permit required when using a charging station?

All EV Charging Stations have a four (4) hour maximum limit in a 24-hour day.  After the session, vehicles must relocate to a regular parking space, or will be subject to a parking citation.

What type of electric vehicle chargers to you have?

Cal State LA has partnered with ChargePoint t to provide Level 2 (6.6 kW/port) charging stations throughout campus.

Where can i find an Electric Vehicle Charging Station on campus?

Cal State LA hass 19 ChargePoint Stations throughout campus.  Here's a complete list;

  • Parking Structure A, ground level has 3 stations with 6 ports.
  • Parking Structure B, B-Level has 1 station with 2 ports.
  • Parking Structure C, Blue Level has 1 station with 2 ports.
  • Parking Lot 3 has 2 stations with 3 ports.
  • Parking Lot 6 has 1 station with 2 ports.
  • Parking Lot 10 has 2 stations with 4 ports.
