Who Can Apply?

This program admits once a year for every Summer term (June). The application period is from December to January. You must check the ABSN application on the School of Nursing Webpage for details regarding the specific deadlines. After applying to the School of Nursing, students who have met the ABSN Program’s academic requirements will be contacted by the ABSN Program coordinator or designee with the instructions on how/when to apply to the university.

Tuition & Financial Aid

  • If you are interested in requesting financial aid, applicants need to complete an application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the current aid year during the school of nursing application period at We strongly urge all applicants to complete the FAFSA form as scholarships are also tied to this application. Students accepted to this program will be able to apply for an annual Federal Direct Loan in the amount of $12,500 during the initial pre-licensure (ABSN) portion of the program. Students may apply for an annual Federal Direct Loan in the amount of $20,000 once in the MSN portion of the program. Students who need to supplement these loan amounts may want to consider obtaining a private loan.

Information Sessions

Attend one of our information sessions where general information is provided and questions are answered about the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program. We offer these sessions in late summer and early fall. Please call our student services office at (323) 343-4730 to ask about our next information session.
