Theory Nights: Fall 2000 - The Privatization and Corporatization of the University Winter 2001 - Dr. Cristina Bodinger de Uriarte presented on "Examining the Media: Equal Representation or Monodimensional Journalism?". This event was held Thursday, March 1, 2001 at 6:30pm. Spring 2001 - Dr. Gretchen Peterson presented on "The Distribution and Use of Power in Competitive and Cooperative Settings". This event was held on Wednesday, May 9, 2001 at 7:30pm.
Rachel Greenberg organized a student forum on the topic of "Gang and Gun Violence and Prevention". Panel members included: Duc Phong - Gang Bridging Project Alex Miramontes - Homeboy Industries Neela Moussivian - Former active gang member Rachel Greenberg - Sociology student, member of sociology club, affected by gang/gun violence Ron White - Sociology student, affected by the topic The event was held on May 23, 2001 at 6:30pm in the South Pasadena Room of the Student Union.
End of Spring Quarter Party On Friday Evening, June 8th, the traditional "End of the Spring Quarter" party was held at the home of Professor Jon Snodgrass. Many students and faculty attended this event.
