Every Friday teams of graduate students working on aspects of the project would present their progress over the past week. Some students would make formal powerpoint presentations. At these meetings the Principal Investigators as well as the other student team members would ask questions, admire or admonish the work, and make suggestions for the next steps in the teams' research.
This was also a time for the different project teams to hear about the work of the other teams and enable them to coordinate and fine tune their own projects.
These meetings were great for the teachers because they provided insights into how the applications we were learning were used in the main projects. These meetings also gave us great models for developing our presentations.
