About Us

BETA ALPHA PSI (BAP) is a national scholastic and professional fraternity for financial information students and professionals. The primary objective of the fraternity is to encourage academic excellence and career placement by giving recognition to member excellence in the business information and accounting fields.

At CSULA, a strong emphasis is placed on students meeting with professionals from their respective fields in order to build strong links with that community. BAP at CSULA concentrates on current topics facing financial information firms across the nation. Our program's primary concentration is based around public accounting and awareness of the CPA credential.

Our emphasis is to give students the skills they need in order to become successful members of the financial information community. We strongly support exposure of students to professional firms and companies.

Employers of accounting students are totally familiar with Beta Alpha Psi and its activities. It is understood that Beta Alpha Psi represents excellence and that its activities are designed to supplement a student's education. Recruiting events are a major part of BAP's activities throughout the year.
