BENEFITS 

Becoming a Member

Membership in the Iota chapter of Alpha Kappa Delta, a National Sociological Honors Society requires a grade point average of 3.0 or greater in sociology. The applicant must be a junior, senior, or graduate sociology major or minor student. Membership fee is $49.00 of which $40.00 entitles you to a lifetime membership in the National AKD, and one year subscription to Sociological Inquiry, a sociology journal. The additional $9.00 is the local chapter fee. Applications can be picked up from the sociology department at King Hall-C3093 or at Professor Wasson's office at King Hall-D3081G.

Alpha Kappa Delta student members of Iota chapter in California State University of Los Angeles can enjoy from the following benefits:

  Be recognized and be sworn into the organization at the  annual AKD formal initiation student banquet, and receive an AKD pin.
