Our mission is to prepare health care practitioners to meet the health needs of the diverse communities we serve. Our dedicated faculty and staff are committed to providing quality education to our diverse student body. Our exceptional alumni are improving health care daily as highly competent nursing professionals and leaders in the profession.
The Patricia A. School of Nursing is at the forefront of innovative changes that emerge in healthcare and nursing education. Our dedicated Simulation Center offers innovative and immersive simulated experiences that enhance learning, develop competence, and promote interdisciplinary and service collaborations.
Our BSN programs maintain a 95-100% RN NCLEX pass rate, and our MSN programs maintain a greater than 92% board certification pass rate. The U.S. News & World Report (2022) continues to rank our Master's degree program among the top nursing programs in the nation.
We are purposeful in developing an expansive list of community, service, and academic partnerships to facilitate student enrichment and engagement for the public good. These community partners keep us apprised of changes, identify challenges, and foster solutions for continual student enrichment. We have established academic-practice partnerships, set transition to practice programs, and have created pathways for preparing nurses for developing roles in a continually evolving healthcare system.
