Lobby Days Event

Free Registration for Cal State LA Students!!! 

Lobby Days is a two-day event that educates students and professionals about important legislation affecting clients and the social work profession. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the legislative process and get a “hands-on” lobbying experience in talking with state legislators and/or their staff about important policy issues. The event takes place on Sunday, April 3, 2022 – April 4, 2022 

Format – All events will be held virtually in 2022 via ZOOM 

Sunday, April 3, 2022: Learn the basics of lobbying and prepare for legislative appointments. 

Monday, April 4, 2022: Attend the Social Action Rally and Legislative appointments, virtually. (Attendees must attend Sunday to participate in Monday’s appointments).

Professional Social Workers in all fields
BSW and MSW Students
Social Work Professors 

***We have secured a limited 40 spots fully funded for students only***

How to Register: 

1. Send an email to our staff assistant, Alejandro Moncado at [email protected]  with the Subject Line: Lobby Days Registration Request no later than Thursday, March 17, 2022.
2. Using your Cal State LA email address, provide your full name, student status (BSW/MSW) CIN#, and contact phone number with the following text: “I [your name] wish to attend the virtual lobby days event and am confirming my attendance.” 
3. A release form will be sent to you to complete along with a registration code for you to complete your registration online at the NASW Lobby Days Site. 
4. Keep in mind space is limited so this is a first come first served basis. Please do not request registration if you are not intending on attending.
