Campus Wireless Access

The campus wireless project has been completed, and there are now several hot spots  available on campus for you to get a wireless internet connection on your laptop.

System Requirements:

  • Sun Microsystems Java installed

  • Operating Systems Currently Supported:  Windows XP SP 2,  Windows 2000 SP 3/4,  Macintosh OS X

  • Windows user should have "automatic updates" turned on

  • Machines connecting to the CSULA wireless network will need anti-virus definitions dated within eight days of login . All users are strongly encouraged to have up to date anti-virus protection. Fall Quarter 2006 will be a grace period, but beginning with Winter 2007 quarter, the policy will be enforced.

Instructions:

  • You will need a campus computer account (NIS Account) to access the Cal State LA wireless network.  If you don't have an NIS account, visit the ITS Help Desk (Library South Lobby) to obtain one.
