Morning hours are preferred. Under minimal supervision this individual
reports to the Library Administrative Services Officer.
Students must have good typing skills and be extremely accurate. Accuracy
is more important than speed of typing.
Main responsibility is to process the Interlibrary Loan packages, placing
items in envelopes, weighing, determining UPS zone criteria and preparing
the package slips for shipping. Works independently with the ILL department
and UPS customer service if there is a need to place a tracer on a package.
Some packages weigh approximately 50 pounds.
With minimal instruction, maintains, updates and prints-out the Library
inventory database. Does a quarterly walk through of the Library buildings
for equipment inventory discrepancies and updates information accordingly.
Processes the new equipment lists from the Property Department and includes
the appropriate information into the Library database.
Periodically prepares requisitions for purchasing of Library supplies.
Requires heavy typing during these periods. Process the received item records,
requisitions, purchase orders and receivers and files according to the
Library records. Delivers major items such as book trucks, envelopes, and
other such supply items. On occasion may be required to pick-up items at
the shipping and receiving area. Packages on occasion are approximately
50 plus pounds. May be asked to make deliveries on campus to other departments.
Under the supervision of the Library Administrative Services Officer,
maintains, organizes and updates the information for the Storekeepers Manual.
May be required to fill-in at peak times for the Library Accounting
Office, which may include checking invoices with the INNOPAC system. Typing
of claim schedules, remittance advices, monthly and fiscal year-end financial
statements. Prepares the labels and files for current and future years.
Performs related duties as required within the job level of responsibilities.
