How to print from library
computers
STEP 1 - Preview page to be printed
Before sending a print job to the PRINT RELEASE STATION, use
the "Print Preview" option under the "File"
drop-down menu to ensure that you only print the pages you desire. This is
particularly useful for printing just the information you want from a web site.
STEP 2 - Send job to the printer
Go to "File" >> "Print" or use the
button
on the browser's toolbar.
Note: If printing a PDF file be sure to use the print button
that is on the Adobe Reader toolbar.
STEP 3 - Enter username and
password
You will be asked to enter a username and password. You can use anything
you want for these, but we suggest that you use something unique and make sure
it is something that you will remember -- since you will need to re-enter them
when you go to the PRINT RELEASE STATION. Each time you send a
print job to the printer you will have to enter a username and password; it is a
good idea to use the same one each time.
STEP 4 - Add money to your
Golden Eagle
Card (or purchase a "Visitor"
card)
If you haven't already done so, you need to put money on your Golden Eagle card
(or purchase a Visitor card) by going to one of the ADD MONEY MACHINES
located near the photocopiers, Library North, 1st floor, or the Periodicals
Desk, Library North, A-Level.
Note: You can also use your Golden Eagle card to make
photocopies.
STEP 5 - Go to
one of the PRINT RELEASE STATIONS
Go to one of the PRINT RELEASE STATIONS
located across from the Reference Desk (Library
North, 1st floor).
Note: If you're using the computers on
A-Level, 2nd, or
3rd floor -- a Print Release Station is near those
computers. The cost for
printing is 10 cents per page.

- Swipe your Golden Eagle or Visitor Card along the slot on
the keyboard (from right to left) with the magnetic strip at the bottom
and facing you
- Click "Continue" on the display monitor, or press
the "Enter" key
- Look for your USER NAME and click on your name to select
your print job
- Click "Print"
- Enter your "Password"
- Click "Log Out"
- Remove your pages from the printer
