Note 1 -- Includes Extended Education students/staff/faculty; Los Angeles High School for the Arts Students; all part-time and temporary faculty, including Extended Education faculty.

Note 2 -- Applies only to tenured and tenure-track faculty. Does not include part-time or temporary faculty who receive the same borrowing privileges as CSULA Staff.

Note 3 -- There are three categories of off-campus borrows: members of the CSULA Alumni Association, Friends of the CSULA Library and Mutual Use borrowers.

Note 4 -- Excludes Los Angeles High School for the Arts Students.

Note 5 -- Books due first day of next quarter.

Note 6 -- Includes UAS and Extended Education staff.

Fee Policies

Overdue fees can be paid in person at the Circulation Desk, 1st floor, Library North.
Fines must be paid in full; partial payments will not be accepted.


Regular Circulating Material Reserve Material and Reference Special Loans
LATE FEE for failure to return material by EXACT DAY specified:
25¢ per day
or
$10 maximum per transaction
 
LATE FEE for failure to return material by EXACT TIME specified:
25¢ per hour
or
$10 maximum per transaction
After 21 days overdue, an item will be considered lost. If we must invoice you for any overdue item(s), you will be assessed a:
$10 Excessive Use Fee
and a
$10 Service Charge;
PLUS the Replacement Cost or an acceptable replacement copy
Failure to return reserve material results in:
$10 Excessive Use Fee
and a
$10 Service Charge;
PLUS the Replacement Cost or an acceptable replacement copy
If an item is recalled for another patron LATE FEE for failure to return material by EXACT TIME specified:
75¢ per day
NO maximum
Recalls do not apply to Reserve Material. Recalls/holds by the Reserves Department take precedence over those of patrons.
Damage fees will be assessed based on the condition of the item at the time it is returned in the library. Damage fees can be from 50¢ to actual replacement cost, plus a service charge of $10.00.
