Knowledge Resources Task Force (KRTF)
Coordinates development and assessment of the Library's knowledge resource base.
This base includes print, electronic and media reosurces, including government
information. These resources may be either physically held in the Library or
made available electronically.
Media Services Task Force (MSTF)
Responsible for developing and implementing a plan to significantly enhance
& improve user access to the University Library's (non-print) media and
multimedia resources. The task force will examine the issues and submit
proposals which seek to: improve access to non-print media and multimedia
resources held by the University Library; centralize University media
collections and services if appropriate; build upon the existing art, film,
music, education and other University media collections and develop a strategic
plan for growth of the library's media collections; recommend use of library
space and purchase of needed AV and computer hardware, shelving, and furnishings
for a proposed center; discuss various scenarios for the provision of media
services, access, and personnel; examine new technology trends including the
delivery of media, both to classrooms and via the Internet. The Media
Services Proposal has been approved -- the new "Music
& Media Center" opened on April 2, 2002.

Library Web Task Force
Responsible for the continuous development and refinement of
the Library's end user and in-house web-based information systems, including but
not limited to the Library's Web Site (LWeb) and the Intranet. The Task Force is
also charged with integrating the CSU System-wide Unified Information Access
System (UIAS) project into the LWeb and serving as the liaison to the State-wide
User Service Task Force. The LWeb is the primary interface for: locating
information about the Library; providing direct information seeking assistance
to end users; and providing access to library research databases and networked
resources of all types, including the Pharos system. The Library Intranet is the
Library's primary information dissemination and archiving system.

Customer Services Task Force (CSTF)
CSTF will perform user needs assessment and outcome studies, process responses
to user comments and suggestions, monitor the quality of services and develop
programs to train and develop library personnel in terms of quality service to
students, faculty and staff.
