Study Areas and Lockers

Quiet Study Areas:  There are more than 1,500 study stations located throughout both Library buildings. Some are individual study carrels the rest are shared seating at large study tables. All stack and study areas are designated quiet and cell phone-free zones.

Group Study Rooms:
  Students studying in groups (minimum of 2 or 3 depending on room size) may use most group study rooms without a reservation (except for the 10th and Finals weeks) each quarter. During these two weeks rooms are reserved in two-hour blocks. Reservations may be made at the Circulation Desk, 1st Floor, Library North.

Rooms 2026, 2026C and 2026D (Library North, 2nd Floor) are available for reservation throughout the quarter.  See Use of Group Study Rooms for more information.

Wireless Study Areas: The Campus Wireless Network is available in three areas within the Library: 1) Library North, 2nd Floor Quiet Study Area; 2) Library North, Level A Lobby; and 3) Library Palmer Wing, 1st Floor, ITS Help Desk. In each area, surge protectors have been installed on tables to allow patrons to plug in their laptops and get good wireless signals as well as power.

 
Graduate Cubicles: Applications for use of graduate student cubicles may be picked up at the Circulation Desk, 1st floor, Library North or downloaded here. Cubicles are assigned to graduate students, who meet the criteria for Library cubicles. Assignments are made quarterly for up to three quarters based on availability.

 
Lockers: Applications for lockers located in the outer lobby of Library North may be made in the Associated Students, Inc. Service Center, Student Union, Rm. 203.
